ReelPin Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ReelPin ("ReelPin", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the ReelPin mobile app and related services.
ReelPin lets you save short-form video links, process them through our backend, and organize the results into searchable saved content, map pins, and related insights.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use ReelPin, we may collect the following:
- Account information, such as your email address, name, profile image, and authentication details when you sign up or sign in with email or Google.
- Content you choose to submit, such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or other supported video links that you share into ReelPin.
- Processed content and derived data, such as extracted titles, summaries, transcripts, categories, locations, people, action items, and saved reel metadata generated from shared links.
- Location information when you grant location permission in the app, used to center the map near you and improve the map experience while the app is in use.
- Device and app information, such as push notification tokens, platform type, app version, and technical diagnostic information needed to operate the service.
How we use information
- To create and manage your account.
- To process shared links and return saved reel content and extracted insights.
- To sync saved reels across sessions and display them in the app.
- To power map views and location-based in-app features when permission is granted.
- To send push notifications when a saved reel has finished processing.
- To secure, maintain, debug, and improve ReelPin.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate ReelPin, including:
- Authentication, database, and storage providers, including Supabase.
- Push notification providers, including Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Maps and geocoding providers, including Google Maps Platform.
- Hosting, infrastructure, security, and background job providers that support the app and backend.
- AI and data-processing providers that help analyze shared content and generate derived metadata and insights.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
Data retention
We keep account information and saved reel data for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Push tokens, logs, and technical records may be retained for a shorter period based on operational needs.
Deletion requests
You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at reelpin.support@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a deletion request.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
ReelPin is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will investigate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
